Refresher Courses for Registered Pharmacists
The Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council, Mumbai has started organizing
Refresher Courses for Registered Pharmacists – Community & Hospital
Pharmacists at various places in Maharashtra
State. MSPC has its own
refresher course hall with sitting capacity of around 40 with required
infrastructure. Also Council has authorized CIPPARA institute to conduct
refresher course in Vidharba and Marathwada region of Maharashtra.
The Intention is to acquaint the Registered Pharmacists working as Drug
Retailer and Hospital Pharmacists with the information which will be useful
to them in their day to day practice. The information includes some of the
recent trends in Pharmaceutical practice and Sciences.
We have
identified certain topics which may be important to practicing Pharmacists.
As per the directives from Pharmacy Council of India and also inline with the
proposed amendments of the Pharmacy Act 1948 it will be mandatory for a
registered pharmacist to attend minimum two such courses in a span of five
years for renewal of registration.
In many
advanced countries such professional upgradation programmes are already
mandatory for renewal of registration The course benefits the registered
Pharmacists by giving them ideas about recent most advances in the field and
update their knowledge. The feedback so far received from the participants is
very encouraging.
