It is observed that many registered pharmacists along with pharmacy qualification earn other professional qualification such as DHMS,BHMS , LL.B ,etc and also are registered with those respective professional councils .Students may tend to use these professional registrations simultaneously .But it may be noted by all concerned that for using pharmacy registration one should be physically present at the workplace .Simultaneous use of two professional registration may amount to professional misconduct and attract provisions of section 36 of Pharmacy Act -1948 and registration of pharmacists may be cancelled for temporary or permanent period if pharmacist is convicted of the said offence

Example- A registered pharmacist who is also registered homeopathic practitioner practices his homeopathy in a clinic and simultaneously if he is appointed as qualified person in medical shop licensed under Drugs and Cosmetics Act -1940 ,then said act amounts to professional misconduct .

Hence presently all the pharmacists who are holding two professional registrations are advised to inform the Registrar,MSPC immediately .
